We are seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to provide exceptional care in a state-of-the-art medical treatment facility. The standard of care must meet or exceed nationally recognized standards as established by the Joint Commission.
Period of Performance:
Duration: Six months (estimated: 09-01-2024 to 02-28-2025)
Extension: Option to extend contract services by up to six months at the discretion of the Government.
Hours:
Scheduled Hours: 2,080 hours
On-call Hours: 1,521 hours
Call-back Hours: 169 hours
Services Provided:
The CRNA(s) will provide on-site services to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and VACIHCS in accordance with the specified requirements.
Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree or doctorate from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
Licensure: A current, full, and unrestricted license to practice nursing in any State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsite on VA property. Candidates with restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily revoked, surrendered pending action, or denied licenses will not be considered.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience as a CRNA within the last three (3) years (VA experience is desirable).
Certifications: Current BLS/ACLS certification.
CV: A current CV identifying education and professional qualifications commensurate with CRNA duties.
Hours of Operation:
Normal Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Off-hours Coverage: On-call during all hours when the facility clinic is closed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Each CRNA may expect to cover 25% of facility CRNA off-hours coverage.
Coverage Details:
Weekday Coverage: Monday - Friday; 3:30 p.m. through 7:00 a.m. the following day (15.5-hour shifts)
Weekend Coverage: Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. the following day (24-hour shifts)
Holiday Coverage: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. the following day (24-hour shifts)
On-call Requirement: Providers must be available within 15 minutes by phone from the initial contact attempt and on-site within 60 minutes of the initial contact attempt.
